This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With this platform swing we will be able to give our students with high sensory needs a way to express and let those emotions out in a safe and predictable manner. Often times because of lack of resources, the kids that suffer the most are our special need kids. We need a way to help to facilitate emotional regulation through movement. Autistic children often learn through positive reinforcement. By having the platform swing as a positive reward and snacks, this can help them to learn cause and effect for good behaviors.
