My students need iPads with a charging cart to expose them to 21st century skills such as typing, watching videos for research, using apps to help each student with their individualized goals and grade level expectations.

My Students

As a special needs Kindergarten educator in a low income school, many of my student- school is “home”. Most if not all of my students come from single family homes and or have a parent in or out of jail. They spend more time at school than home. They eat breakfast, lunch, snack and sometimes even dinner in school. Having the students realize they love school especially in kindergarten will only raise their need and excitement to be in school and exploring learning!

My Project

10 iPads and a charging cart for special needs Kindergarten will transform the classroom greatly! These students will have the ability to see first hand videos of the what are learning about and even get the chance to be able to explore a topic that interests them. Such as currently learning about penguins, where they live, what they eat...Students will also have applications to help specialize the learning of each child; having a special needs classroom each student - own level. Being able to have the students reach the goals and enjoy the love of learning is what being an educator is about. The iPads and charging cart will help the students with that goal!
