This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are learning from their homes, and their homes are not ideal conditions. Many of my students have limited books, and some only have the basics like paper and crayons.
Our students with multiple disabilities have been hit the hardest.
Not all of them have Chromebooks from school, and some of the parents are unable to pick them up (and because of reasons, we can't bring them to their homes.) These students have been left behind, and have minimal resources to continue their education at home.
My Project
We have a class of students with multiple disabilities that has been home for six weeks without supplies or educational materials. This class is small, with only six students, but each student has complex needs.
Our kids with multiple disabilities need tools and materials to support their continued education and development at home.
This is one of six projects, one for each student, to be delivered directly to their homes with the supplies and materials they need to continue learning and creating at home. Our students need every bit of help we can give them, and I want them to be able to create and learn in their homes.
