Special Little Preschoolers Learn to Read, Write and Create!
My students need art materials to develop their early fine motor skills and expand their creative thinking! We need dry erase markers and teaching easels for our math and reading centers.
My students have a wide range of disabilities including autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and speech impairments. My students participate in developmentally appropriate curriculum while at the same time working toward individual goals for success and integration.
We have a strong sense of community where students learn early reading concepts, beginning math skills, pre-writing skills and how to socialize and work together.
I want my students to become academically competent, socially aware and technologically skilled so they can continue to learn and grow as they progress through school and into the bright future ahead of them.
My Project
My little preschoolers have a variety of special needs which means they need materials that give them the best chance to develop the skills they need for kindergarten and beyond.
Getting messy in an art center builds the foundation for writing!
Little preschoolers need to finger paint, manipulate playdough and get sticky with glue to build finger strength, eye-hand coordination and motor planning which are all prerequisites for writing.
With these materials, children will have the opportunities they need to develop these crucial skills for future learning. Please help us give these adorable preschoolers the materials they need to enjoy learning but more importantly to enhance their future school success!
