Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a special education class. My students are eager to learn, kind, and polite. They learn mainly in one on one settings. I will sit with them and explain each step, heavily praising correct answers.
My students love to encourage each other.
They get along very well and are always willing to provide assistance. They are a diverse group of learners who move at their own pace academically.
I enjoy interacting with my students each day. I think I learn from them as much as they learn from me.
My Project
I teach a special education class. My students love to play educational games that help them learn math, counting, sight words, etc. I chose several board and card games that will help strengthen their knowledge of math and sight words.
My classroom was also affected by a natural disaster, so I also chose items to help decorate my room.
These items will create a positive learning environment for my students.
I also chose math, reading, and vocabulary workbooks so my students can gain confidence in those subjects.
I believe these items will be of great value to my students and I am looking forward to using them in my room.
