This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Hello! My students are called Ms. Jenn's Curious Kids. Our class at our Title I elementary school, is made up of 8 MID students in grades K-2. I am proud to say that my students, their parents and I have been working very hard on academics as well as life and social skills!
As you can imagine, teaching virtually to students with intellectual disabilities is very challenging.
They are exciting to teach and love to learn. Each day we focus on Calendar, Math, Reading, Writing and Social Skills. We sing, dance and learn with vigor!
My Project
These document cameras will help teach virtual writing! With my whole class being on line, and the students with Intellectual Disabilities, it is very difficult to teach writing.
Using these document cameras, I will be able to see my Special Education students writing in real time.
This will help me to give support, suggestions and correction as they write!
The skills this will help with are fine motor skills, handwriting, writing sentences and paragraphs, and answering math word problems in a complete sentence.
