Special Education Teacher Needs Books & Engaging Resources
My students need new leveled reading books and engaging learning materials like Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs and Math Equivalency puzzles to support learning.
I work as an ESE (Special Education Resource Teacher) at a Title I school and teach math, reading, and writing to students with exceptional needs.
My students range in grade level from Kindergarten to fourth grade.
My students are in need of leveled books specifically level A-H, fun literacy activities, and engaging math resources.
The reading books will be used to supplement the reading program that I use and the other resources will be used to create fun activities to enhance learning and basically make learning fun. I have amazing students who demonstrated wonderful reading gains last year and I hope to continue their successes with new reading materials and fun literacy/Math learning resources. Thank you!
My Project
My students need books, games and activities that focus on reading, the alphabet, letter recognition, and writing, as well as math manipulatives to use during Math time. The leveled reading books will be used with students to encourage reluctant readers to enjoy reading. In addition, all reading books will accompany a writing component aligned with the Common Core Standards. The math manipulatives, such as the linking cubes and math equivalency puzzles will be used to aid students in understanding often difficult math concepts. I am a strong supporter of hands-on differentiated learning and teaching.
I work at a school that has a high population of students from low-income families.
It is a designated Title I school. The students do best in school environments that are engaging and offer a variety of learning tools.
All the materials will be used to support a fun, engaging learning atmosphere where my students will have access to materials that support growth in learning. I work with an amazing group of students who love to learn. Thank you in advance!
