See what Ms. Kay is requestingHelp me give my students items that are for basic human needs. My students come from low-income households and they are always hungry. These items will ensure everyone eats something and doesn't have to worry about hunger.

My students are Special Ed grades 6-8. That means that they have an IEP for different reasons, for example, a physical or learning disability. My students specifically also deal with many obstacles due to lack of education within the home, low opportunities, drug abuse, and more. However, they are strong, resilient and continue to work towards goals despite these disadvantages.
My students are often without basic human needs, for example, socks, hygiene items, snacks, drinks, and more.
Our school tries very hard to fulfill these needs, however, we are a Title I school which means the majority of our 800 students are considered at risk and low income.
Community support builds strong schools, and strong schools build a strong community. Supplemental programming, donations, and volunteering provide opportunities that can help to close the achievement gap in education. When you donate your time, efforts, and resources, you will help my students succeed.
Your donations will make sure that students in my class have hygienic materials and small meals.
Due to the lack of resources in their home, they usually come to school hungry and are starving prior to lunch. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
