My students need an interactive morning calendar, alphabet stamps, whisper phones, and a visual timer to help us create a stimulating and exciting literacy block!

Can you imagine being a first or second grader, who has difficulty staying on task for more than a few minutes at a time? Well, my students know EXACTLY what that feels like. They need a much more stimulating morning routine to help maintain their attention so they can learn!
My classroom consists of first and second grade special education students, ranging in age from 6-8 years old.
They have a variety of disabilities and most of them have multiple disabilities. My students LOVE school and arrive every morning excited and full of energy to begin our day. They care about each other and genuinely try their best to complete anything I ask of them. Their positive, hard-working attitude, despite their disabilities, is truly an inspiration. My school is a public, neighborhood school located in a large, urban city. It is located in a low-income area and 100% of the students at my school receive free or reduced price lunch.
I am requesting an interactive morning calendar that incorporates multiple mathematics routines and problems into our morning calendar time. The dry erase markers are to be used with the daily math problems on the calendar. I am also requesting manuscript letter stamps and two stamp pads, so that my students can practice their handwriting and letter identification simultaneously at their centers. Additionally, I am asking for two whisper phones so that my students can hear themselves read aloud while working at the "Read to Self" center. This helps them practice fluency and also helps them detect any mistakes they make while reading. Lastly, I am requesting a large visual timer, so that while my students are at centers, they can clearly see how much time is remaining until we are going to transition to the next center.
Your donation, of any amount, will help make a difference in the lives of my inner-city special education students.
Our school has very limited funding and since my classroom is a new edition to the school. We are truly struggling with the limited materials we have. Your donation will help make our morning literacy block a much more interactive and enjoyable time for everyone!
