My Students

My goal as a teacher is to do my best in teaching the students whatever information they need to be successful in the real world. As they walk into my classroom I want them to feel safe and nurtured and that I'm doing everything I can to ensure that. I teach in a life skills classroom where there are 8 students with various disabilities. Having a classroom that is warm, inviting, and calming helps them come into the room and allow them to feel like it's their home away from home.

My hope is to find and get as many resources as I can to help my students learn to the best of their ability.

My Project

There are so many different apps out there to allow my students to learn. These apps help them learn their phone numbers, allow them to learn letters and numbers, as well as apps that can read them a story. Having my students learn their phone numbers is an amazing life skill to obtain and the parents are so grateful once they learn it. Using this iPad will allow the students to not only learn their phone numbers but numbers and enhance reading skills as well.

Technology engages my students and makes them more eager to learn essential skills that help them in their everyday lives.
