My Project

Special Education students grow and progress when their sensory needs are met. The materials listed within this project will house and store the sensory objects and allow a place to de-escalate when behaviors overcome their bodies.

Studies show that when students with exceptional needs are provided a sensory room, they learn and allow the learning of peers in an educational setting.

As sensory needs are met, education can occur.

My passion is to help my students grow alongside their peers with as many techniques and methods as available. A sensory room allows a student with special needs to de-escalate and return to the classroom so that learning can occur.
