My Project

Our special education preschool students are the youngest learners on our campus. Some of these children have missed critical early intervention services needed to support their developmental delays. COVID-19 impacted their ability to attend school, get evaluated, and/or receive qualified therapies. The materials requested will benefit each and every student in our class and those that follow by providing engaging, language rich and multi-useful activities to support their unique needs. Such as the Story Telling Kit; Narrative intervention can be an efficient and versatile means of promoting a large array of academically and socially important language targets that improve children's access to general education curriculum and enhance their peer relations. The Mystery Box can promote a range of skills such as expressive/receptive language, articulation, social skills, answering and asking questions. The Language Photo Set and Touch Picture cards can be used in a variety of ways to support vocabulary development, describing and following directions. The Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs can be used for articulation practice, labeling and identifying vocabulary, following directions. The materials requested are multi-useful and can provide an extensive opportunity to support cognitive, social-emotional and language learning opportunities in fun and engaging ways.
