My Students

I teach a fully self-contained special education classroom with students who have severe cognitive disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy and down-syndrome and require constant one-on-one instruction and support.

Due to their cognitive disabilities, my students are most engaged with hands-on learning so money to buy manipulative learning tools is essential for my students.

My Project

My fully self-contained special education classroom is for students with extreme cognitive disabilities (autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, etc.). These students are far more engaged when working with 3-D manipulative learning tools (blocks, objects, games) than when only using pencil and paper. These manipulative tools would enable my students to interact with curriculum in a far more intuitive and successful manner than ever before.

Students born with disabilities still deserve equitable access to education no matter the teaching tools required, and your donations would make a reality.
