Help me give my students a classroom library. Flexible seating and books on CD are just what we need to create a library just for us. The beanbags will give them an alternate choice to sit and read.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are unique. They learn in a different manner than most. Some have autism, ADHD, and OHI.
They enjoy school and enjoy learning.
I try to make learning fun and interesting. I am always looking for ways to liven up my students. We also come from a Title I school. 100% of my students come from low income homes.
My Project
My students learn in a different way. They do not just sit at desk with pencil and paper. They need space and options. With the been bag seating they can choose exactly how they want to learn.
My students also want to be able to learn the same thing their peers are learning and the books on CD will give them the opportunity to do just that.
These books are what is being read in the general education rooms. Now they have a chance to read them also and discuss them with their peers. This helps them feel part of the group. Discussions are essential in class today and being able to be a part of that discussion is essential.
With your help you can make a difference in these students lives and help them become better students that feel like they are a part of general education.
