Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are some of the happiest, positive people you will ever meet. They are young adults from Chicago who take the bus from all over the city to come to my school. They each have disabilities that qualify them for inclusion in my low incidence disability classroom. Low incidence disabilities are ones that are rare and happen infrequently, such as Autism or Down Syndrome.
It is true that their uniqueness is their strength.
One characteristic my students share is that they each develop their gifts to really impressive levels as they learn to overcome their disabilities. They inspire me every day and I hope you will consider supporting the great work we do together in my classroom.
My Project
I'm a teacher at a Chicago Public High School for diverse learners with low incidence disabilities (Autism and Down Syndrome). I will use this machine to videotape lectures and to create videos of me teaching with activities embedded into the videos. I need a machine that will help me make the video materials and the activities I am going to need to keep growing my kids. None of the free stuff I am finding will let me make videos of any length.
I just need something stronger.
Any help you can give will be huge. Thank you for all you do.
