My Students

My students live in a small town in Northern California. They are eager learners who love school. Each of my students comes to school with a smile every day. They are always eager to learn. Living in a small community has its advantages, but it also has its disadvantages. One disadvantage is that we can't drive 4 hours to go to an art museum. I have to bring the art museum to my classroom. Being able to get funding through DonorsChoose.org makes all the difference in the kinds of experiences I can give my kindergartners.

My Project

The paint scrapers, sponges, scissors, blocks, and diggers will give my students the opportunity to take their creations to a whole new level. These items will enhance the learning opportunities in our classroom and can be easily integrated. They will be used daily by my students so they can be creative and inspired. It is amazing to see how something new in a classroom can be such a motivation for students. I can't wait to share the new items with my students and see how excited they will be and to see what they create. The items will spark an interest in learning.
