Creativity, enthusiasm, kindness, and perseverance are just a few character strengths I'd use to describe the 20 gifted 3rd grade students in my classroom. Their personalities, interest, and hobbies may vary from one another, but their genuine love of learning and curiosity of wanting to know more, inspires me each morning I arrive in my classroom to give them the best, as all students deserve. It always amazes me to see how eager they are to learn and their ability to think outside the box when solving problems and having classroom discussions. So don't let their age fool you, these 8 and 9 year old boys and girls are special in so many different ways.
These special and spacial rugs would be a wonderful addition to our 3rd grade classroom. They would not only offer students a different area in the classroom to learn in and do group work in, but they also reinforce our 3rd grade curriculum. From the math symbols on the math rug, to the rotation of different planets in our solar system, and the eye-catching design of each state on the United States of America rug, each of these rugs will give my 3rd grade students a visual reinforcement of our learning targets throughout the year.
With these new rugs in the classroom, my spacial and visual learners will benefit greatly by seeing what is being taught daily.
In addition to the visual reinforcement, the rugs will provide a comfy and cozy place for my 3rd graders to learn in.
