Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Regardless of student backgrounds, ethnicity, or situations they may be going through at home, my students are excited to learn and are willing to try their best to accomplish learning goals. Not only are the students willing to work hard but parents have the desire to help their children succeed. Unfortunately, parents and students do not have the means or resources at home needed to advance in academics. I feel the responsibility to provide my students with a rich learning environment that will help them excel.
It's inspiring to see how hard my students work each day.
Working in a Title I school and seeing the needs of each student has made me feel the desire and responsibility to provide them with a fun learning experience that includes resources they do not have at home. Unfortunately, at school, scholars must share technology with about…600 students. The use of technology is not accessible each day. There are so many applications and websites that could be used to help students master learning skills; it would be ideal for scholars to access technology daily.
My Project
Scholar engagement is one of the key factors that instills the love of learning and should be made a priority when planning out lessons. Scholars love it when we incorporate learning videos and brain breaks throughout their day, but unfortunately have limits to not having quality speaker that can be heard throughout the whole class . My scholars also love listening to audio books and enjoy listening to our novels. Unfortunately, sometimes scholars are unable to enjoy this medium of learning due to broken speakers or speakers that can only be heard from inches away. Having access to quality speakers will bring lessons to life and contribute to scholars love of learning.
New speakers will be used to promote and develop an engaging learning environment.
Speakers will help create a more lively and tactile learning environment where my students are able to create and remain engaged on a daily basis. Educating students in the digital age requires an engaging experience and with your help scholars will have a full day of fun learning.
