My students need speakers especially after hurricane Irma! Every time we try to listen to our tutorials its hard to understand what is said because the laptop speakers are low. Lets help the students understand their work.
I have the best techie students who are full of energy and excited to learn about technology. They enjoy when we get creative, changing things up by doing class activities/projects that are hands on. They are a pretty diverse group of kids with different backgrounds and cultures. My kids have the potential to be someone amazing when they grow up, they just need the extra resources and tools to accomplish it, especially the technology! My school is an incredible charter school that cares about the students and teachers. While they ensure the kids receive the necessary materials, we need some help, especially after Hurricane Irma, in ensuring they get extra resources that will let them have a more hands on experience. When my students enter the room I want them to be encourage to strive for their best, continue to be enthusiastic and happy with STEM related projects in tech class, and have access to the latest technology that will inspire their future careers.
My awesome students need resources for our classrooms. We have computers in the tech lab but we lack audio and tools. During class we are limited to just using laptop speakers and it makes it hard to understand what is said on our daily lessons. We are also in need of computer tools that will help the students assemble and disassemble the computers while in groups during the hardware lessons. The groups are too large and by the time class ends some of the students miss out in working on the computers because of the lack of tools.
This is why I figured tools and speakers would be beneficial and a great idea for a grant!
The excitement the students get when opening a computer and learning all the components as well as building the computers is a huge leap forward in computer hardware knowledge that will help the students understanding on how technology works.
The speakers are attention grabber for the students to listen and the tools will be an amazing help for the shortage of tools the students have access to. It would be a thrill for the students to have access to more equipment and tools.
If this project is funded I know it will make a difference to my students because it will inspire them to learn more about technology. Allow them the opportunity to do something productive and entertaining rather than just playing a game. I personally think that this will really make the parents and students excited about our classroom projects because it is adding more helpful tools to our classroom.
