Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 2nd grade English Language students are enthusiastic,inquisitive, and eager to learn on a daily basis. My students attend an inner city Title 1 School. They all receive free breakfast and lunch.
They are creative and goal oriented.
My class is composed of a couple on grade level and a few struggling readers. Both groups have demonstrated academic growth.
My students are hard working and are committed to learn. Even though, they face many challenges, they are always trying hard to overcome obstacles.
My Project
I'm trying to incorporate music and movement as a source to engage my students. The Bluetooth Speaker will be used during Physical Education time and during writing time to engage them in their learning. Students will learn dance moves and will choreograph their own moves to music.
Engaged and motivated students produce creative and innovative ideas.
Thus, It will also assist students to concentrate and to focus during writing time by listening to classical music. The music will allow students to concentrate on their ideas and their writing. Also, the music will motivate and engage them to become enthusiastic writers.
