Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

My Students

My students are avid pursuers of social justice and advocacy. We have worked to build a collaborative community that focuses on these aspects through writing. They are champions of their own learning and frequently engage each other and outside members of the community in the learning process. We use interactive resources to fuel social discussion that teaches a consciousness beyond the norm.

My students are surrounded by problems, they see and interact with them in their daily lives.

However, they are not often asked for the solution. Through creating a classroom built on the idea of communal responsibility and social justice we have been able to marry advocacy and rigor to become a people who are solution oriented. We seek to push that advocacy beyond our four walls and truly engage the world. We seek to create sustainable transformation in all areas of our lives.

My Project

My students are future STEMinists, they are young women engaging with a curriculum centered on social justice. We are a classroom dedicated to solving the problems. Having HP laptops and new books will help us in our journey.

These materials will allow my students to engage STEM related projects and solve a plethora of problems.

Having materials like these books and computers better enables my kids to be the change makers they know they are. These resources will equip them to engage problems in a more focused and driven nature; investigating the absence of the female voice and creating change.
