Help me give my students Lenovo tablets to be able to practice their English, listening, and reading fluency skills. Many of my students are refugees and they do not have access to these applications at home.
I have a great opportunity to work in a multicultural classroom. Some of the countries that my students come from are Afghanistan, Iraq, Tanzania, and the Congo. For many students this may be their first time in school and using technology.
Many of my students are newcomers to the United States.
Despite overcoming obstacles of war and adapting to a new culture they are always eager and excited to learn. They find the pure joy in learning and make learning for me fun as well.
For my project, I chose Lenovo tablets for my students to be able to use online reading programs and apps that read to my students in English and also help them practice basic sounds and build their reading fluency. Also, with these tablets, it will allow for my students to help build their English skills in the Reading, Math, and Science as well.
Many of my students are socioeconomically disadvantaged and do not have access to computers or internet access at home to help practice their reading skills using online reading applications.
I would like for my students to have fun as they learn and what better way to do that is with technology.
