Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our city is located right outside of Albuquerque, NM. We serve several small communities, including some Native American communities. The majority of our high school building is brand new. However, the weight room needs some repair work and the physical education department is lacking in equipment. I know our students like being active. I also know our student-athletes have the heart and pride to be successful. It's my job to make sure they have the tools to do so. I want to show them the way!
My Project
The requested equipment will help our student-athletes train and compete in football. Our current equipment is outdated. Unfortunately, funds for athletic departments are shrinking. Teachers and coaches are forced to either go without or purchase equipment with their own money. That's why I'm asking DonorsChoose for help. The new kicking tees will replace our outdated ones. The other equipment will help our student-athletes train properly. Kicking is a very difficult skill to perfect and the requested equipment will help our student-athletes in their training.
