This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The elementary school students at my school are unlike students anywhere else in the world. They are uniquely wonderful in all aspects of their being. They attend a Title I school in a rural area of North Carolina.

In the past year, our school has implemented an intervention block, club day, and AVID, broadening our student experiences and creating new and exciting learning opportunities.

Our goals this year are especially targeted on closing the achievement gap through access to materials and resources.

My Project

My students will use the green screen and stand to create a news show tailored to elementary students. Students will be responsible for editing, recording and creating quality videos that will be used to support their interest. This will make a difference in my students' lives by allowing them to work on a project that showcases their creativity, embed STEM and literacy skills, and collaborative learning. This will improve the school lives of my students by giving them access to high-engaging materials that can be used to spark learning and boost confidence among my students. Their final projects will reflect their views and give them a sense of accomplishment.
