My Language Arts I students from Missouri are bright, energetic, and full of life. My students are curious and always teach each other something new about our world. Because of this I try to make our classroom just as bright and full of life as they are. We love anything that allows movement and hands on activities. Having group and whole class discussions and debates are one of our favorite activities.
My goal this year is to spark a passion for reading in all of my students.
A typical school day begins by me modeling a new activity or project that we will be working on during our block scheduled class. The longer class time allows us to dive even deeper into our learning and is especially helpful for practicing close reading strategies.
My Project
These supplies will allow my students to see what I have written on the whiteboard. As of right now, it is just a board with older dry erase paint that does not work! This will definitely help anyone who struggles to read our daily goals and homework that is written on the board. The students will then be able to practice organization skills by writing down homework. My students will also greatly benefit from a document camera because they will be able see up close the modeling examples I show and do with the class.
We will be able to further our education by having these supplies in our classroom.
