My students are an amazing group of kids! They are always ready to learn and explore! They love technology and they love any lesson that is interactive! Being a Title 1 school, many of my students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. For most, school and our classroom is their only constant. My students know that in our classroom, we are a family! We compliment and celebrate each success no matter how large or small! Despite my student's many challenges they love to learn!
This year, we have had students join our classroom who were displaced by Hurricane Maria.

My Project
Having an additional 9 tablets in our classroom will allow for many fun and engaging activities to encourage learning. Tablets will allow us to take virtual field trips as we read stories from all over the world. It will open doors for my students far beyond our classroom door! Students will have the opportunity to work on apps that allow me to differentiate learning for each individual student. Our district has purchased many great apps for our use, but my students do not get to spend much time exploring them due to the lack of technology. With tablets, my students will be able to work individually and with with partners to show, share, and own their learning in a variety of different ways. My ELL learners will have access to books and apps to help them master the English language.
