My Students

¡Bienvenidos a mi clase de español! My students are excited to take the plunge and immerse themselves in the Spanish language and culture every day. They learn best through movement, songs, stories, and tech. They thrive on interactive participation and enjoy making voice and video recordings to strengthen their listening, speaking, and interpersonal communication skills. I am energized each day by my students' curiosity, enthusiasm, and motivation to not only learn a world language, but also to become culturally aware global citizens.

My Project

Our Spanish students are keeping digital portfolios that document their progress as they learn the Spanish language and culture. This includes work that highlights their path to proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish. With iPads, pairs and groups of students will be able to move about freely while recording dialogues, songs, raps, and skits. They will also be able to easily photograph and upload their comics, storyboards and written work to their personal digital portfolios and subsequently view, edit, and share their projects with the teacher and other students. We will also use the iPads to access educational learning apps such as Kahoot, Quizlet, Quizizz, Señor Wooly, and Audiolingua.
