Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Somos un grupo de 49 estudiantes de la ciudad de Hillsboro en Oregon. Somos una escuela de título I en el Hillsboro School District. Actualmente estamos trabajando la lectura informativa y tenemos muchos problemas para encontrar libros interesantes y que estén traducidos al español. Es por eso que hemos decido pedir ayuda. Nos gustaría poder aumentar nuestra biblioteca de clase con libros de carácter informativo, artículos o textos informativos que nos puedan ayudar a mejorar y a poder formar clubes de libros en nuestra clase. Queremos agradecer a todas las personas que se interesen por nuestro proyecto y les animamos a que nos ayuden. Gracias!
We are a group of 49 students from the city of Hillsboro in Oregon.
We are a Title I school at HSD. We are currently working on informational (Non-Fiction) reading and we are unable to provide equitable resources as our English focus rooms. Finding interesting books or books sets that are translated into Spanish. We have decided to ask for help. We would like to be able to increase our class library with high interest books. We encourage everyone to help us.
My Project
These materials will help us provide our students an equitable opportunity of learning non fiction reading in Spanish language. Finding book sets of non fiction that are translated and are adapted to our 6th grade class is not easy and we would really make the most of this project.
