Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are 3rd, 4th and 5th graders English Language Learners from low-income families. They love coming to school and learning about Spanish Literature.
They are willing to learn, take initiative and they always show a positive attitude towards school.
My students are eager to start a new academic year, full of possibilities and surprises. I am super excited to start teaching them about the different cultures by taking them in a journey, that can only be possible if we have the right literature.
My Project
These Spanish books will make a difference in my class because they will enrich the Spanish program, and help my students develop a love for Spanish literature.
The books will supplement my Spanish curriculum and will make the class fully engage in a fun and exciting way.
I believe that each child deserve an opportunity to be able to learn in a fun way, and reading literature that they can relate too will make it more interesting for them, at the same time they would want to continue to read Spanish literature, making them succeed academically. My students deserve the best Spanish instructions possible, and I want to accomplish that by introducing them to these books.
