My students are 47 in total between both of my classes. They have great minds but their thoughts need to be guided, the might wonder in space a bit if you don't have planned an active and productive day.
They love reading books, they can't get enough reading time.
They love to read in English and they will love to read in Spanish if we had books.
My school is doing BOB in English and all they want to talk about is their groups and when can we do a readathon. Wouldn't it be awesome if they could read in Spanish too?
My Project
They will be learning some new words without even noticing. They will be engage on the books, they won't even realize they are learning. We will be doing a Battle of the Books competition in addition to reading this books. We will be reading books from the publishers Barco de Vapor.
We will have Readathon's in class to promote reading in Spanish.
So if they don't understand something they can help each other and I will also be there to guide them.
Our School library doesn't have a lot of books in Spanish, and the ones that they have are more instructional rather than a story that will get them engage and turning pages all the time.
