My Students

I work at what is considered a "high needs" school. Our free and reduced-priced lunch rate is 100%. We teach many students who do not know where their next meal will be coming from. They are unable to concentrate on the level that is needed throughout the day.

My students tend to struggle in school because they have real-life problems that are blocking their ability to learn.

Despite the challenges they face, they get up each morning and come to school. I want to make sure their school experience is a positive one!

My Project

These materials will make a huge difference for my students. I have several students in my class, as well as through the school building, that speak little to no English. They struggle because they want to learn without looking different from their peers.

Hands-on Spanish to English activities along with tangible rewards would allow all of our students to thrive in class.

The reading games will help our classmates learn English in a game that they can play with their peers.

The supplies and rewards that we need for our classroom impact the productivity of our work every day. Help us get supplies that will support classroom rewards, learning, and students who are beginning to learn English.
