My Students
I always like to tell my students that in our classroom they are part of a family. We all bring different things to the table. Some of us are more quiet, where others are loud and outgoing. Some students love sports and learning history and war, where others love math, or science, or reading science fiction novels. All of our interests are different, but we still find common ground and have similarities. We are all able to contribute to make our classroom the best learning environment it can be!
My Project
In our classroom, we read amazing books that open a whole new world for my students! We've had new students join our class that don't speak English, and only speak Spanish. I am working with the students to learn basic English vocabulary, but I'd like them to be be able to enjoy silent reading like the other students in the classroom.
I've chosen books that we are reading in class that the students can read in spanish as well.Some examples of these books are Wonder, Who Is Anne Frank or What Was D-Day? These books teach the students amazing lessons, and history from our American history.
