My 4th graders are enthusiastic, energetic, and ready to learn! They approach each day with open minds and look forward to hands on learning. They attend a low income, Title I school where resources and technology are limited both at home and at school. For many of them, school is a safe place to escape the everyday hardships they face and truly be themselves. I only hope to provide every opportunity possible to encourage the importance of their education and personal growth.
I recently decided to make a big change in my classroom! I am moving from the traditional classroom set-up of rows of desks to a flexible seating model which is bringing about some major changes in space and arrangements in my classroom.
Due to the new arrangement, my students are now seated at several different styles of tables and desks, but this means, they now have no where to store their school supplies!
I am asking for a stack-able bookshelf to organize art boxes and larger supplies on as well as magazine holders to hold students' folders, notebooks, and smaller personal supplies. With your donation, I can maximize the space in my room for active learning, and provide a place for supplies out of the way yet still accessible to students.
