My Students

Every child in my class receives free lunch and breakfast. Depending on their night, we may spend part of our instruction time talking about the right ways to care for friends and family. They do not always have the support that every child deserves at home, but they walk in with a smile.

Our class is a family and we work hard to become good people and students.

My students are always eager to help each other when someone is struggling. They know it takes hard work to be successful in school and each child is determined to do their best!

My Project

I want all of my students to have a space that is theirs where they can feel comfortable. A rug is a great tool for us to use at our morning meetings and our whole group setting. This is the area where we come together as a group and learn how to communicate with other people.

My students will learn how to turn and talk to each other and have meaningful conversations.

This will help develop their oral language and build listening skills. Our rug will be a safe place for my students to share their ideas and maintain student engagement.
