Ms. Regina from Los Angeles CA is requesting educational kits & games through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need blank hardcover books, washable markers, and full sheet labels to create their own books.

My students are a highly diverse group of students in many areas. They are both ethnically and socioeconomically diverse. They are a curious group of students who also show a diversity in their views, as well as their learning styles.
Our school thrives on honoring the individuality of each student and valuing what they bring to our school community.
Students are encouraged to be independent, critical thinkers and to learn more about the world around them through books, magazines, technology, and each other.
This year my class is Wondering and Exploring all about space! We have learned about our place in the universe, constellations, our solar system, what life is like on the International Space Station, SpaceX's mission to travel to Mars, and so much more! We have also been busy growing as Readers and Writers.
We would love to use what we have learned to write and illustrate our own fiction books that take place on the International Space Station or on Mars.
We are asking for hardcover blank books, markers, and labels so that we can publish our studies just like the author's do that we have been studying all year long. My students will use all that they have learned about writing narratives as well as their research to complete this final writing project that will be shared with their families and the school community as well. The materials I am requesting will help to support our final writing project by inspiring my students to give their best writing because they will have the supplies to publish in a similar way as the mentor authors we have been learning from all year long.
