Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year I have an amazing group of second graders! They come from many different cultures and backgrounds. We have a large school with many socioeconomic differences as well. Many of my students are learning how to speak our language and how to help their parents at home!

My students are 25 second graders from very diverse backgrounds.

They are a very sweet and loving group. We are learning how to respect each other and our differences. I have a great class!

My Project

We have Chrome Books in our classroom for every student. However, we do not have enough headphones for each one. We have a few sets but they are slowly falling apart.

We need headphones to make listening easier!

My second graders work hard in class every day. We do many different activities with our Chromebooks. Some days we do research on non-fiction topics and other days we use programs like Flipgrid to give book reports. We also use them to listen to stories and record ourselves reading for fluency. If each student had headphones our learning would not be disrupted.
