My students need a carpet that is not foam material. Our current carpet is easily pulled apart and shows any small dirt or wet spot. This causes unnecessary distractions and it is not optimal for learning.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are from Eastern Long Island, New York. They are imaginative, creative, energetic, loving, and supportive of one another. Our profile picture is one example of their great hearts. This was a message they left for us on our magnetic message board, and we felt it encompassed their kindness and thoughtfulness well. They are always pushing one another to succeed and take risks. They bring a smile to our faces each and every day.

My Project

We all deserve a place that is comfortable to learn and grow in as learners and thinkers.

Our students deserve a carpet that is nice, cozy, and inviting.

Our current carpet is made up of squares that are put together like a puzzle. They are easy to pull apart during instruction and some pieces are now broken off of the individual squares. Due to the high expenditures and the need to prioritize funding, our budget does not allow for the purchase of such a carpet. Therefore, we are reaching out to you in hopes of purchasing this new product for our classroom.
