I teach 22 students in a full day pre-kindergarten program. My students are creative, inquisitive, and love to learn. They enjoy more hands-on and interactive materials. My students love puzzles, building materials, and opportunities to use STEM materials.
This group of 4-year-old students loves to explore, create, and will really enjoy new materials for our classroom.
I have many students who are learning English as a second language. I hope to enrich their language and vocabulary by expanding our collection of visual materials and objects.
My Project
My 22 Pre-K students will be using these games daily in our classroom during our literacy and math learning centers. The colorful Baby Bear Counters will be added to our large bears for my 4-year-olds to practice sorting by size. They will be used many times as we introduce patterning and counting skills. The Penguins on Ice and Pie Sorting games will also be used as tools for additional practice with these same skills.
The students will also be practicing fine motor, eye-hand coordination, and spatial skills as they use the manipulatives in each of the games.
Adding these games to my literacy and math stations will help students develop their math skills and a love for learning through hands-on and engaging activities!
