This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They love engaging in projects and being creative with their projects. They come to school each day ready to try new things and show the world their creativity. They all inspire me, as a teacher to continue teaching. Every day they ’re teaching me new things as well. To grow with their creative minds and fix anything they put their minds to. To learn what each tool is and what it’s used for.
My Project
All of our students want to learn, learning takes time. It is a repetitive game. You have to practice until it’s perfect. I have chosen the sorting materials because it will the children focus on counting, being able to match, to identify where things go, to compare what is alike and what is different. To count on what you have and don’t have. To place things in the correct area. To know where things go. To count how many can be in one center. They can control the noise volume while they play, to be able to sort and concentrate to connect things together and sort for fun. If a child while sorting gets something wrong, remember practice makes perfect. Keep going till it’s right. This will enhance the environment not only in the classroom, but in the real world.
