My Project

Education means freedom as "access" yields achievement, particularly for learners with limited resources that are essential tools for learning. My students work hard despite limitations and enjoy creating their own poems and stories. When they are not creating stories, they make songs and plays. With access to countless pencils, our creative young writers can have the tools to engage in the writing process and projects thoroughly. When my scholars have all their writing tools available, they can focus more fully on activating their creativity as they draft, review, and engage in peer feedback to build their writing fluency and understanding.

These pencils will not only support scholars' writing enhancement but will serve as tools in making text-to-writing connections as they make annotations of their notices and wonder about what they read in order to build context and evidence for their writing.

As our scholars develop good writing habits and skills, they require access to enormous amounts of pencils that aid them in annotating and building as fluent writers, sharing their ideas and understanding with their learning community and the world.
