My students need some new soccer balls, team socks, captains arm bands, some extra shin guards, a soccer ball pump and game board to have on hand at games, along with a stick roller for injuries.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I'm currently just started coaching a girls soccer team at a Title I school in San Jose, CA, where I also teach PE. Our school is very low income, where we don't have a ton of school activities or teams for our students to be involved in, and we are in an area where students really need to find something to be involved in. I would love to be able to bring team pride to my girls who are finally a part of something that is much bigger than themselves; something that will give them lifelong memories as well as team building. I would love to be able to purchase my girls team sweatshirts and maybe a t-shirt, a good first aid kit for games, as well as new soccer equipment like shin guards and some new soccer balls.
My Project
This equipment will make a huge difference for my soccer girls. For them, soccer is everything, however, money is always an obstacle.
There are girls on my team that don't have access to some basic soccer equipment and equipment that needs to be replaced due to lack of funds.
I would love to give my girls more soccer balls for practice, to be able to give them team socks for their games, and even to be able to give my girls the chance to be a captain and lead their team as well as build the skills to really be able to work as a team and apply that to life outside of soccer.
