My Students

I teach in a small community full of kids excited to learn. My students are bright and energetic with the capabilities to do many good things in their lives. My students are from a small close-knit rural community that celebrates special events like the Maypole Dance and Pioneer Day. The area of our school is so large that some students need to take a 30-minute bus ride every morning.

I joined DonorsChoose because I know so many people that want to help our students and this is a great way for generous people to contribute and help our students.

I have been able to see many teachers and students benefit from the kind acts of donors.

Thank you for all that you do to help bring the necessary supplies to our classrooms.

My Project

Every year I run a classroom economy and give students an opportunity to get classroom jobs and earn classroom money.

The prizes I am asking for are the things my students want to bid on with their earned classroom money.

The prizes I am requesting will engage students with scientific, mathematical, and outdoor activities. These are also prizes that the students voted on themselves to try and earn and bid on at the end of the year.

I try and give all my students a chance to get a classroom job by applying, interviewing, and working in the classroom.

Giving the students something to work for will help them do better in class and learn how to be responsible with money.
