Help me give my students the materials necessary to engage in an ecological experiment.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
The school at which I work has devised a student-centric program that specifically entrenches youthful determination for finding ways to help organizations within the community. The combination of social responsibility and the expression of gratitude to those that impact our daily lives has empowered students to unify in improving the world in which they live.
Our staff has made it their personal and professional mission to embolden our students to be enterprising thinkers in both the free market and the free world.
I am looking to expand our park beautification project so that we can add an ecological element to the learning opportunity. One aspect of the study will incorporate the effects of the application of fertilizer to the park lawn. We will compare the elemental composition of several soil samples both in and around the park in order to determine the human impact on the area. Core samples will be removed for study in both porosity and density as well as chemical composition to identify possible means of ramification that will re-establish balance within the park's soil. Furthermore, we will be engaging in a project to provide alternative means through which to limit the spreading of invasive plants so that less fertilizer will be required to grow a quality lawn in the park.
