I work at a wonderful school that serves a community of students that is representative of the many parts of Los Angeles. We are a magnet school with 90%+ of the students being transported by bus each day. We are over 80% Title I students. We are a PHABO, (Predominantly Hispanic, Asian, Black, Other) School.
I am looking to help beautify my campus.
We have numerous garden beds, about 15, and dirt patches around campus that need some soil and plants.
I am hoping to beautify the campus as well as provide some hands on growing experience for our students. Hopefully the will get some real world growing experience and in the process care more about their campus.
Students currently grow plants in my room. I would like to get them to take the knowledge they gain and grow plants outside in the real world. They will learn to take care of the plants by providing what they need to grow.
We have many areas around campus, including garden beds, that can and are designed for plants that just need some soil.
Your gift will help me get plants growing in those locations.
I want to help my campus look better and to help my students gain some real hands on planting and growing experiences. Your support will help me do this. Thanks!
