My Students

My students are curious, energetic and beyond enthusiastic about starting in their first year of kindergarten!

All of my kindergartners come to school with many different educational backgrounds and that is what is great about kindergarten!

We get to start with a clean slate of learners.

These kiddos are eager to learn about everything and every day is an adventure in their minds. I want to make sure to reach each one of them every day and to meet them at the level they need.

My Project

Our school district has adopted the Readers Workshop model. Along with this model is making sure each child has their own space for reading every single day, sometimes multiple times a day.

Soft seats will allow them to find their own special space and also give them something comfortable to sit or lay on.

These will make it possible to create a place anywhere in our room that could become a cozy reading nook. It would also allow students to have their space where no one else can encroach on their reading time. These will give may options to the students on a daily basis.
