My students need silicone feet covers for their chairs and desks to help significantly reduce the loud noises from the movement of an active class.

Our students, our "kids", represent your typical inner-city school kids- kids full of ambition, passion and motivation that want to be able to learn, grow and succeed the same as kids all over this country. As teachers, we want to help nurture our kids and give them every opportunity to grow, and be confident in everything they do, no matter what obstacles they face.
I teach at a Title I school (100% free lunch) where the riots and civil unrest took place in Wisconsin in August 2016.
Our kiddos were resilient, expressed levels of maturity and understanding ahead of their years when discussing and understanding social justice, and even helped plant trees in the area in restoration efforts. My kids face countless obstacles daily concerning racism, poverty, violence and more...typical day to day school necessities, shouldn't be one of them. Thank you for taking the time to consider a wonderful group of kids that deserve every bit the opportunity as we try our best to provide.
Welcome to 4th grade where learning happens all day and we are constantly moving! With all of that movement, we suffer from the 'nails on chalkboard' sounds of our chairs and desks moving across the wooden lacquered floor. Our school is over a hundred years old and protected by historical society. Our floors are old and our desks and chairs add so much noise as they dig through the layers of lacquer, our ears are suffering!
With how much we move to learn, our ears need a break!
Every time someone moves, even the slightest of movements, make for a very loud and interruptive production. Trust me, when you get 32 kiddos engrossed in a good book, someone grabbing a tissue can make enough noise just by sliding their chair that it throws off the entire class. My kids and I are miserable!
With these silicone chair and desk feet covers, my students can move in and out of stations and transitions without causing deafening noises. Lastly, I have a high population of special ed students who are easily distracted and triggered by the loud noises, and I am hoping and praying these furniture feet covers will give them one less thing to be negatively distracted by.
