My Project
Rug hooking is a fun craft. Students in our school get 30 minutes of enrichment time per day. They choose what to do, and latch hooking has become very popular.
Data shows that crafting has positive health benefits, such as reducing anxiety and stress. During this time, students have opportunities to not only create something uniquely theirs, but also to make new friends. The atmosphere is soothing and comforting
At the end of the project, my students have a sense of accomplishment. They also have the option to keep or give it away to friends or family.
