My Project

Ever since we returned to school, there has been a dependency on technology in the classroom. Technology is a great tool but sometimes it hinders students from really being able to express themselves in the classroom. In my social studies class, I want students to find different ways in which they are able to express themselves. Sometimes that means doing assignments that aren't primarily on the computer. Many students like to show their creative side and I want to help them express it through different types of projects including posters.

I want my students to be able to create a poster project that describes an important event that they find interesting.

They will be given the materials provided to demonstrate their knowledge however they see fit. I want them to be able to express their creative side and have fun with the project. School doesn't just have to be a series of essays, sometimes you can allow students to draw and color. I hope to give them a new way to express the knowledge that they have gained.
