This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration.

As a new teacher at EMS, I am need to fill my classroom with supplies, resources and technology to make their Social Studies experience in my room become alive!

I would appreciate any donations for my classroom to allow me with more opportunities for hands on experiences. Since we can not time travel back to where our lessons take place (although I get asked that a lot), any help with giving us resources to a close second would help!

My Project

Interactive technology is a hit in our classroom! While I love sitting and reading for hours about History, most of my students are learning from home at least 3 days a week and need a little more interactive involvement since I can't physically be there to teach them. This will provide students with animated video to support our lessons, quizzes and materials to help me assess at home learning. With this program, I can cover everything from ancient history to present day issues. Students can make maps, create their own historical movies and material. I was able to preview a few lessons earlier this week and I can create lessons up or down according to reading scores, which is increases reading skills for everyone!
