My students need social skills games and role playing materials. We need social skills materials to be successful members of our school. Please help us achieve our goal.
Help us gain social skills. Social skills are how we navigate in the world. Kids with special needs lack those skills to function and maintain relationships. These materials can help them gain the skills to be active members of our school. We want all children to be successful.
Our students are special education students with a variety of disabilities.
Our school is a small school, with a great need. We lack the resources to buy additional materials, especially in the area of social skills curriculum and materials. We are in a predominately rural county near a metropolitan area. We are a small building with 500 students up to 8th grade.
My Project
Kids with disabilities often lack the social skills, or the ability to understand relationships. They often get bullied or made fun of because they lack those skills. My hope is that the social skills materials -- books, games, and curriculum -- will allow our children to learn the necessary skills to navigate their way through life. With these materials, they can learn the skills to be successful. Hopefully they will learn the skills to be successful members of our school and community.
Our project is important because our children have disabilities and have difficulty understanding relationships.
We hope that by having the social skills materials we can teach the importance of understanding social relationships and not getting bullied
because of their disability. Our school doesn't have to funds to be buy these materials that are so critical. We desperately need to teach our kids about relationships and help them improve their social skills.
